Who we are
Alo Tax Consultants LLC (“Alo Tax”, “we”) is the controller of the personal data collected through this website. We are based at Office 043, Building 409 (Al Barsha Business Centre), Al Barsha 1, Dubai, UAE. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@alotax.net.
We process personal data in line with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
What we collect
- Consultation requests: your name, company, work email, phone number (optional), the area you need help with and your message.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your work email and the topics you choose.
We only collect what you type into these forms. This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To reply to your consultation request and discuss a possible engagement. We use your details because you asked us to.
- To send you The Alo Brief, our newsletter on UAE tax developments. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your data or use it for anything else.
Who we share it with
We use two service providers to run this website, and they process data only on our instructions:
- Vercel Inc., which hosts the website.
- Google LLC, whose Firebase service stores form submissions.
We may also disclose data where UAE law requires it, for example to the Federal Tax Authority or another competent authority.
Where it is stored
Form submissions are stored in Google Cloud data centres in the United States, and the website may be served from locations outside the UAE. Both providers apply contractual and technical safeguards to protect the data they process for us.
How long we keep it
- Consultation requests: for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case engagement records are kept for as long as the law requires.
- Newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or stop sending you the newsletter. Email info@alotax.net and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
